Ownership and Responsibility
Why your vote is important to us and to you.
Now through Friday March 21, 2008, you can vote in this year’s election for board and credit committee members. You can cast your ballot online at the OECU website, or by phone at 1-866-624-8571. Results are announced at the annual meeting.
As a democratic, member-owned financial cooperative, The Ohio Educational Credit Union is required to elect officers on a yearly basis. You as a member have the power to help direct OECU policy. All OECU members have the ability to vote for board and committee members and when applicable, changes in operating procedures.
The OECU election is based on a one-member, one-vote structure in contrast to for-profit financial institutions where stockholders vote according to the number of shares they own. No matter how large or small your financial relationship is with OECU, your vote has the same importance.
Now through Friday March 21, 2008 is your only chance to vote—there is no voting at the annual meeting or OECU offices. Voting for board and credit committee members is an important part of your responsibility as a member-owner. So please take the time to make your voice heard, you’ll be glad you did.
Exercise your right to vote and join us at our 75th annual meeting in March 2008—we think you’ll enjoy the experience.
