Share Savings Account
The Regular Share Savings Account is the primary account that must be established and maintained by all individuals who want to join OECU. The Regular Share Savings Account is opened with your membership. This account requires a minimum balance of at least $5.00.
The Regular Share Savings Account is a statement savings account. There is no need to carry a passbook. Also, when you open other accounts with OECU, you will receive a detailed combined statement that shows all your savings, checking and loan accounts, which makes it easier to manage your finances.
You have anytime access to your money by using "Toni" The Touch-Tone Teller or an OECU ATM Card, VISA Check Card, plus six-days-a-week access by visiting an OECU Office.
Dividends (Interest)
The Regular Share Savings Account is a tiered savings account offering a competitive rate of interest that grows as the money in your account grows. The tiers are:

The Regular Share Savings Account provides you with a tool to develop a savings plan, while giving you access to other financial tools offered by OECU.
The Regular Share Savings Account has a monthly earning period, and earnings compound quarterly, based on the average daily balance. The dividends on the account will be posted after normal business hours on the last day of each calendar quarter.
The statements for the Regular Share Savings Account are mailed quarterly unless there is payroll/direct deposit, ATM or other electronic activity, which would then result in a statement sent each month that this activity occurs.
The average account balance must be at least $250 for any dividends to be paid on the account. Dividends are calculated on the average daily balance in the account.
The Regular Share Savings Account maintenance fee is waived for all package members. The fee is also waived for those members who have payroll deduction or direct deposit of at least $400 per month to OECU, or for those members who have a month-end balance and an average daily balance of at least $100.
