Special Savings
Accounts
Saving money is the first step toward building your financial
future, and one of the best disciplines to learn and teach to others.
It is important to make saving a regular part of your life, and OECU
is ready to help you establish and enhance your financial well-being
through the many savings products it offers.
These special savings products are statement savings accounts. There is
no need to carry a passbook. You will receive a combined statement that
shows all your Savings, Checking and Loan Accounts, which makes it easier
to manage your finances.
You have anytime access to your money by using "Toni" The
Touch-Tone Teller or an OECU ATM Card--plus six-days-a-week access by
visiting an OECU office.
Holiday Savings Account
Plan for those holiday needs early by opening an OECU Holiday Savings Account.
This account is designed to let you put your money aside throughout the
year, so you can start spending in time for the fall holidays.
The funds in your OECU Holiday Account are automatically transferred to
your OECU Regular Share Savings Account during the first week of November.
If you don't use all of your Holiday Savings Account
money, you can put it back into your Holiday Savings Account for the next
year by making a simple phone call to "Toni" The Touch-Tone
Teller.
Vacation Accounts
Your vacation plans can be made easier if you have your OECU Vacation Account
full of funds to use on that special trip you are planning.
Open your OECU Vacation Account and put a little money aside with each
paycheck by using payroll deductions or direct deposit.
When making your vacation plans, don't forget about the other financial
services that OECU provides that can make your vacation more enjoyable.

Summer Reserve Pay Account
The Summer Reserve Pay Account was established to help
those in the education field who do not receive pay during the summer
months. It's a place to put a little extra savings aside with each paycheck
during the school year so that you have money available if you are not
receiving a paycheck in the summer.
This account can be useful for members who have seasonal
employment and would like to accumulate some extra savings, while working
to help them manage their finances when they are not receiving a paycheck.
By using payroll deductions or direct deposit with an OECU
Summer Reserve Pay Account, you can make it easier to accumulate that
extra savings.
Name Your Own Savings Account
You can set up a special savings account and name it what
you like. Is it for college? Is it for a new car? Is it for a special
anniversary gift? You can use it to save for any purpose and name the
account to match your needs. The name will appear on your account statement,
making it easy to keep track of the progress you are making, and it can
be accessed via "Toni" The Touch Tone-Teller or by visiting
any OECU office.
Use this account in conjunction with payroll deductions
or direct deposit and make your savings plan easier to manage.
The special savings products are tiered savings accounts
offering a competitive rate of interest that grows as the money in your
account grows. The tiers are:

The special savings accounts have a monthly earning period,
and earnings compound quarterly, based on the average daily balance.
The dividends on the account will be posted after normal business hours
on the last day of each calendar quarter.
The statements for the special savings accounts are mailed
quarterly unless there is payroll/direct deposit, ATM or other electronic
activity, which would then result in a statement sent each month that
this activity occurs.
